Objective of job

● Prepare component costs data, cost comparisons and support internal reporting

● Compare cost changes for purchased parts & keep record of change management

● Support BOM verification with RD China and alignment with BBAC

● Compile costs for regular expected actuals (EA) calculations

● Support material cost optimization initiatives

Qualification

● Education

- Graduated/certified engineer, business degree or similar education

● Experience

- Internships in automotive industry (or comparable)

- Knowledge in automotive production processes and cost management

- First experience in comparative cost systems-, calculation & planning

- Multicultural environment experience

● Specific Knowledge

- Fluent in written and spoken English, German preferable

- Problem solving skills and team orientation

- Profound computer competencies in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

Job designation

● Cost Reporting

- Support pre calculation (VK) in different project phases and projects based on target prices, sourcing decisions and synchronization with bill of material.

- Maintenance of Target Tracking List

- Tracking and documentation of target costs and local purchased parts costs. Take full responsibility of accuracity for Planning Database. Follow up on approval committee decisions and update target tracking list timeously. Check quality of sorcing approval documents.

● Change Management

- Track and document all China cost relevant engineering changes for status and cost evaluation. Align with MP, PCE, BBAC and FGM (DGRC) / FMP (DAI) all change requests.

- Maintain PAEV overview on all changes and create reporting also for the potential risks from ECs based on decisions already taken in Germany but not approved by BBAC SC.

- Thereby increase the quality of cost planning and avoid reporting of significant cost increases in late project phase. Reduce risk of misalignment between DGRC and BBAC cost reporting.

● Planning alignment

- Analyze bill of material changes and differences between DGRC RD, DGRC MP (and BBAC P&S); Verify updates and trigger corrective actions where needed.

● Meetings

- To coordinate scheduling of meetings for team members including support for organizing team workshops. Capture meeting minutes and track tasks.
